ARTIST'S STATEMENT

I am inspired by weather, water and aerial perspectives and 

am especially intrigued by the sensation of movement.  

I begin each painting with the essence of the subject in mind.   

Each new mark trends the work further into an abstracted ambiguity.  

This lends texture to and infuses the initial form 

with an inherent rhythm that I hope leads my viewers 

to enjoy what the poet Wallace Stevens called
"a new knowledge of reality.”
